SINGAPORE – City Harvest Church founder Kong Hee, who is facing three charges of criminal breach of trust by an agent, was yesterday granted approval by the Court to travel, according to his lawyers.
The approval is understood to be for a number of trips in the region for pastoral ministry.
Kong, out on S$500,000 bail, is one of six senior City Harvest members facing charges of criminal breach of trust and accused of misusing S$50 million from the church’s Building Fund. Their cases are collectively fixed for a pre-trial conference on Aug 30.
According to the itinerary posted on Kong’s website, which appears to have been last updated in May, his regional pastoral engagements next month include two in Malaysia and one in Taiwan.
