SINGAPORE: There will be changes in Permanent Secretary appointments from November 1.
This follows the announcement of the re-distribution of the portfolios of the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports and the Ministry of Communications, Information and the Arts into three new ministries.
The three new ministries are the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY), the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) and the Ministry of Communications and Information (MCI).
Ms Yeoh Chee Yan, Permanent Secretary (Education Development), will be appointed Permanent Secretary for Culture, Community and Youth.
Mr Chan Heng Kee, Permanent Secretary (Community Development, Youth and Sports), will be the Permanent Secretary for Social and Family Development.
Mr Chan Yeng Kit, Permanent Secretary (Information, Communications and the Arts), will be the Permanent Secretary for Communications and Information.
Ms Chan Lai Fung, Permanent Secretary (Education Policy), will be re-designated the Permanent Secretary for Education.
All appointments will take effect from November 1, 2012.
